Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank Steps Down from White House Manufacturing Council

Kevin Plank, the founder and CEO of Under Armour, has announced that he is stepping down from the White House American Manufacturing Council.
Plank had initially sent out a statement on Charlottesville earlier today:
We are saddened by #Charlottesville. There is no place for racism or discrimination in this world. We choose love & unity. – CEO Kevin Plank

Following the departure of Merck CEO Kenneth Frazier from the very same council (which led to President Trump criticizing him on Twitter), there were questions about who would drop out next.
The Under Armour Twitter account sent out this message from Plank tonight saying he’s stepping down too, citing his commitment to promoting “unity, diversity and inclusion”:
I love our country & company. I am stepping down from the council to focus on inspiring & uniting through power of sport. – CEO Kevin Plank pic.twitter.com/8YvndJMjj1
