Creepy Protesters Follow Sen. Kyrsten Sinema into Ladies’ Room & Continue Videoing While She’s in the Stall

Progressives are mad at Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) — really, really mad — for her role in holding up a multi-trillion dollar spending bill, and one group of protesters was so annoyed at her, they thought it was ok to stalk her into a ladies’ room and continuing videoing her while she was in the stall, haranguing her about immigration reform and the infrastructure bill.

The incident happened at Arizona State University, where Sinema is a lecturer. Bloomberg reporter Jennifer Epstein shared the video, originally posted by Lucha Arizona, showing the protesters following the senator into the bathroom “to confront her on Build Back Better and immigration.”

The protesters, holding up cell phones to take video, approach Sinema as she leaves her classroom and ask to speak with her.

“Actually, I’m heading out,” she replies as she walks towards the ladies’ room. The protesters follow Sinema into the ladies’ room and continue videotaping as she enters the stall and shuts the door. Other women are also using the restroom. The protesters shout at her about immigration issues and the infrastructure bill. Sinema emerges from the stall and washes her hands as the protesters continue to yell at her.

Another video posted by Lucha Arizona shows the protesters continuing to yell and chant at Sinema, as she ignores them, exits the bathroom, and walks into a classroom or office and shuts the door. The protesters continued to yell their slogans from the hallway for another minute or so.

The protesters seemed proud of their efforts, but there’s zero evidence that they had any sort of impact at all, except causing a mild annoyance for Sinema and discomfort for the other women trying to use the ladies’ room.

Twitter users were disgusted by the restroom stalking, and denounced the whole stunt as useless and creepy.

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) was among those who came to Sinema’s defense, declaring the protesters’ actions “insane,” and admonishing them to “stop this madness…[it] doesn’t help your cause even if it makes you feel better.”
