A speeding black Mercedes-Benz C63 dragged a police officer — who was grabbed onto the vehicle after the driver refused to stop — through Times Square in New York City, and somehow managed to escape the extremely congested intersection.
The Mercedes appears to have been initially stopped by the officer after burning-out their tires and smoking up the intersection. The cop then demanded the driver get out of the vehicle, to which he responded to by ramming the officer and speeding off while the law enforcement official held on.
While the police officers attempted to chase the car down several highly-congested blocks with their weapons drawn, they were ultimately unable to catch the Mercedes after it side-swiped several cars to get through the traffic in a Grand Theft Auto V-style getaway. According to the Daily Mail, the officer suffered multiple injuries from the encounter and was taken to a hospital shortly after the incident.
As for the culprit, he has reportedly yet to be caught or identified.
The incident was caught on camera by an unnamed man who appears to have been on a bicycle. He somehow managed to catch all the craziest parts of the encounter — all while providing some excellent commentary.
