What About Tammy Bruce Fans ‘Tricked’ By Fox Gay Discrimination Twitter ‘Joke?’

On Thursday, openly gay conservative radio host Tammy Bruce mocked “the left,” including significant numbers of “The Gheys,” for failing to “get” the “irony” of her Twitter “joke” that she had been told she’d never host The O’Reilly Factor because she’s gay. If you believe her explanation that the tweet was a joke, rather than that her “joke” explanation was damage control, then don’t bother asking Tammy Bruce about this:

What about poor Bob Gutz? Is he just another one of “The Gheys” on “the left” who are ” slobbering at the bit over this,” and just don’t get all of Tammy’s super-cool “Irony,” “Sarcasm,” and “Absurdity?”

In case yo missed it, Tammy Bruce tweeted, on Wednesday, that she’d “love to fill in for O’Reilly, but I’ve been told it will never happen because I’m gay. Go figure..”

She thanked several of her fans for expressions of support, including trusty @Gutsy9, who explicitly laid the blame at Fox News’ feet. She also laughed along with fan @Phineas_Fogg, who joked about the show’s possible misgivings at handing Bruce the reins, tweeting “Oh like you would stop doing commentary and have sex on set. Tammy is brilliant, funny &… hot. & I’m Straight.”

That was it. She didn’t give her fans a “just kidding,” or even a “J-Ghey!” Was Tammy Bruce punking her own fans?

That’s what she would have you believe. After Fox-bane Media Matters contacted both Bruce and the network, she suddenly threw up a blog post entitled “Newsflash: Liberals Confirm They Have No Sense of Humor or Irony,” in which she made this claim:

“First, the ‘I’ve been told…’ you can add ‘by a friend of mine.’ Bwahaha! I think that bursts a few liberal bubbles out there. With only 140 characters, one is so limited!”

So, how many characters is this?

Yeah, that fits, so why didn’t Tammy correct her own fans, who apparently also confirmed “They Have No Sense of Humor or Irony?”

Maybe this was all an elaborate prank to get liberal “Gheys” like AmericaBlog to bite, except she repeatedly expresses surprise that anyone noticed her “joke.”

Maybe this mocking “joke” blog post is really just a revelation of Tammy Bruce’s contempt for her own concerned fans, and not an attempt at damage control after she inadvertently bit the hand that feeds her. You’ll have to ask Tammy Bruce, becaue Fox News isn’t talking. They declined to comment for Media Matters, or for Mediaite.
