Who Is Accused D.C. Quadruple Murder Suspect Daron Dylon Wint?
Daron Dylon Wint was arrested last night in Washington D.C., and now we’re learning more details about the man suspected of torturing and killing a family before setting the house on fire. (UPDATE: Wint likely had accomplices, according to authorities.)
Wint is charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of Savvas Savopoulos (the CEO of American Iron Works), his wife Amy, their 10-year-old son Philip, and housekeeper Veralicia Figueroa.
Wint has a criminal history, according to multiple reports, that includes an arrest for carrying a large machete and BB pistol outside the American Iron Works headquarters and pleading guilty to threatening to kill a woman and her infant child, breaking into her house, and vandalizing her car.
Wint was convicted a reported total of three times. This is a mugshot taken of him a few years ago:

Maryland court records also reveal that Wint had threatened to kill members of his own family.
He had attempted to join the Marines and attended boot camp in South Carolina, but ended up not graduating.
And according to investigators, Wint was an employee of American Iron Works.
His former lawyer Robin Ficker defended him on CNN this morning, calling him a “non-aggressive person” and a patriotic man. He said that Wint attended Prince George’s Community College in Maryland and authorities clearly have the wrong man.
