Who is Brad Parscale, Trump’s 2020 Campaign Manager?

The name on everyone’s lips in Washington this morning is Brad Parscale, who was just named campaign manager for President Donald Trump’s 2020 reelection bid.
Never mind the fact that, in early 2018, the president has already named a campaign manager for an election nearly three years from now. Instead, let’s answer the most obvious question:
Who is Brad Parscale?
First of all, Parscale is no stranger to Trump campaigns, having overseen the digital arm of the president’s 2016 successful election bid.
Due to his uncanny knack for understanding how people consume news on Facebook, he has actually been credited, by some, as being the man behind the victory, conducting his social media apparatus with laser focus, targeting undecided voters on social media sites and putting articles about the boundless evil of Hillary Clinton just where they needed to be.

Of course, given the alleged ties between pro-Trump social media posts and those pesky Russians, this has made Parscale somewhat of a controversial figure, being interviewed by the House intelligence committee in their efforts to discover collusion between the Trump campaign and Vladimir Putin.
Parscale, for his part, downplays the notion that Russian bots and paid trolls had any place in his digital operation, boasting of his on-the-level Facebook acumen back in November.
“We needed to create a grassroots campaign and we needed to go out and find millions of people to be our supporters and Facebook allowed us to do that in alarming numbers, very fast,” he said.
Previous to Trump’s 2016 campaign, Parscale worked as a digital consultant, heading up several projects for the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and for Trump himself, including building the website for the president’s winery.
Kushner has released a statement on Parscale’s promotion, offering up a full throated endorsement.
“Brad was essential in bringing a disciplined technology and data-driven approach to how the 2016 campaign was run,” he said. “His leadership and expertise will be help build a best-in-class campaign.”
All in all, for Trump, this seems like a solid choice. He can’t be any worse than Paul Manafort or Corey Lewandowski.
