William Shatner Wants $30 Billion Kickstarter to Solve California Drought
In case you forgot, California’s having a serious water crisis right now, and William Shatner wants to take action to solve it.
Captain Kirk himself wants to set up a Kickstarter campaign with the goal of raising $30 billion to build a pipeline.
Shatner spoke with Yahoo’s David Pogue and said he wants to build a pipeline “from Seattle, a place where there’s a lot of water,” to California.
He said this is mostly about raising awareness and added, “If I don’t get the $30 million, I’ll give the money to a politician who says I’ll build it.”
And Shatner’s going so far as to rope Elon Musk and Al Gore into this grand project:
I know I need experts and @algore and @elonmusk should be asked to weigh in and join the conversation.
