Woman Who Impersonated Hospice Nurse at Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Hospital Jailed
Taiwo Bolatito Sobamowo was arrested in November on charges of practicing nursing without a license, first-degree forgery, and identity fraud. Her string of illegitimate gigs stretched from Washington, D.C., to Minnesota, but it wasn’t until she was a “nurse” at the hospital where Bobbi Kristina Brown lay comatose that the situation really escalated and she was arrested, then released on bond, and finally, arrested again.
According to The Atlantic Journal-Constitution, Sobamowo’s name had an alert for alleged impersonations in the database maintained by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, but she still continued to find employment as a nurse, even though the documents she was using were stolen from a man and identified her as such.
Yesterday, she was booked into jail, charged with financial identity fraud, false identification documents, and four counts of practicing registered nursing without a license. She is being held without bond.
According to a police report, there is no indication that her impersonation of a nurse affected the care received by Brown, who died in July.
