Yankees-Red Sox Game Delayed Because of Bees
BEES!
Yes, bees! Bees decided to get in the middle of a big Yankees-Red Sox game today in Tampa and caused the game to be delayed. You’ve heard of weather delays, well now meet the bee delay!
The spring training game was delayed seven minutes when the swarm showed up, and the grounds crew had to be brought in to remove the bees so that the game could resume as normal.
But the absolute best moment of the whole thing was how Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira tried to help out: by holding out two small jars of honey and waving them around. I am not kidding.

And when asked about that moment afterwards, Teixeira explained, “What I thought was, if you could just do a line of honey out to the parking lot, the bees would maybe follow it, and then just leave us alone.”
