Yashar Ali: ‘I Would Totally Date Piers Morgan’

In between breaking news and saving the world’s elephants, Yashar Ali found time to offer some praise for Piers Morgan on Wednesday.
Ali, an often prickly and mercurial Twitter presence, said he “would totally date Piers Morgan” adding that he felt Morgan “would be a charming dinner date.”

Ali, a freelance journalist most recently in the news for revealing explosive sexual harassment accusations against Fox News’ Eric Bolling and fighting about fisting with the NRA’s Dana Loesch, seems to have been thirsting pretty hard after Morgan posted an alluring photo of himself on Instagram.
The image shows Morgan reclining by a fire naked but for a red cloth to cover his unmentionables. He was also wearing a garish Burger King neck medallion.

The image dates from 2009 when Morgan participated in an ad campaign for Burger King’s short-lived meat-flavored, libido enhancing cologne, “Flame.” (that is not a joke). According to a 2009 write-up in The Telegraph, Morgan’s head was “superimposed onto a younger, more toned model’s body.”
At first glance, it seemed that Morgan’s false abs caused Mr. Ali to have a significant change of heart about the controversial British talk show host. In the past, the freelance journalist has been considerably more scathing, on one occasion even saying he was “mentally ill.”
But then again — I have often been drawn to mentally ill people myself!

Piers Morgan, who has failed at everything and was driven out of America, thinks being a provocateur is good for his business. It’s not.

We reached out to Yashar, who said Morgan was a mixed bag.
“I have complimented Piers in the past, he is a terrific interviewer,” he told Mediaite. “He has the same interviewing skills as Howard Stern, he gets people to open up and is bold in the way he asks questions.”
Fair enough!
