Infowars founder Alex Jones accused President Donald Trump of “destroying MAGA in real time” on Wednesday as Trump continued to lash out at supporters for demanding the release of files related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“Why is Trump destroying MAGA in real time?” asked Jones in a social media post, attached to a video titled “Message to President Trump,” which criticized the president for lashing out at his “most loyal supporters and good people.”
In the video, Jones said, “I don’t apologize for supporting Trump. All they did, you know, it was good before, and all he’s done good since, but it was very easy to be a purist and defend him a few months ago when it was 95% good or more. Now it’s, like I said, moving quickly into the bad territory.”
Jones then spoke directly to Trump, saying, “President Trump, if you think that all of this good is happening because of you, that’s crazy. You think you’re in control? No, God is in control.”
The Infowars founder argued that “stuff really started to change when Elon [Musk] left,” before claiming, “Trump’s implicated here. I’m not saying sex abuse of kids, but definitely somehow, maybe someone close to him. That’s what I’ve been told, that you are compromised.”
Jones broke down in tears this month after the Trump administration claimed there was “no credible evidence” that “Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals” using his child sex trafficking ring.
“I’m going to go throw up, actually,” said Jones at the time. “And this only happens every few years when something really, really bad happens or something. I mean, I’m physically gonna puke.”
After Trump lashed out at his supporters for trying to get to the bottom of the Epstein case, Jones responded, “You’re not the pope, bro. I mean, you are not speaking from the throne ex cathedra.”
“I’m not saying Trumpland is a cult,” he continued. “But when Trump starts behaving like that… it starts getting into cult territory.”
In a Truth Social post on Wednesday, Trump attacked his own supporters for trying to get to the bottom of “the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax.”
“Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bullshit,’ hook, line, and sinker,” complained Trump. “They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.”
Trump proceeded to disown his “weakling” supporters, declaring, “I don’t want their support anymore!”
According to a new poll, a whopping 67% of Americans believe the Trump administration is “covering up evidence relating to the Epstein case,” including 59% of people who voted for Trump in 2024.
