FBI Report: Clinton Couldn’t Remember Briefings After Concussion

clinton-e1464824215813In her interview with the FBI, Hillary Clinton seemingly said that she could not remember sensitive briefings she received while recovering from a 2012 concussion.

“Clinton stated she received no instructions or direction regarding the preservation or production of records from State during the transition out of her role as Secretary of State in early 2013,” the FBI’s notes read.

“However, in December of 2012, Clinton suffered a concussion and then around the New Year had a blood clot. Based on her doctor’s advice, she could only work at State for a few hours a day and could not recall every briefing she received.”

The FBI’s language is frustratingly vague. The Drudge Report ran a Reuters write-up of the story with a glaring red headline “HILLARY HEALTH DEFENSE: CAN’T RECALL AFTER THE FALL,” clearly interpreting it to mean Clinton could not recall the briefings for medical reasons. But others note that the FBI technically never said she couldn’t remember the briefings because of the concussion, and it could have more to do with the time she was taking off.
