Ted Cruz Plugs His Podcast While Solemnly Recalling Hamas Atrocities: ‘I Do It Monday, Wednesday, and Friday’
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) took an odd detour while explaining that he watched a horrific video of Hamas committing atrocities in the Oct. 7 terror attacks in Israel.
Cruz appeared on Wednesday’s edition of Breaking Points with hosts Ryan Grim and Emily Jashinsky where they discussed Israel’s ongoing war in Gaza in response to the attacks, which killed 1,200 Israelis and saw more than 200 abducted. Israel has been carrying out a widespread military campaign in Hamas-controlled Gaza since then. According to the Ministry of Health in the small territory, nearly 15,000 people have been killed.
During the conversation, Cruz slammed “leftists” who use the term “from the river to the sea” to advocate for a Palestinian state spanning from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, a region that encompasses Israel.
“It literally means, obliterate the modern state of Israel because they hate Israel and they wanna eliminate the only Jewish nation in the world,” Cruz said. “That is racist and genocidal.”
Grim noted that Israel’s Likud Party, whose leader is Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has used that exact phrase to signify its own ambitions.
“As I’m sure that you know, though, Likud’s platform, it says, you know, from the river to the sea, there will only be Israeli sovereignty,” Grim said. “Are they suggesting genocide of all Palestinians?”
“Of course not,” Cruz replied.
“Exactly,” Grim said. “So, if they’re not, why is the other suggesting genocide?”
“Because that’s what Hamas supports,”Cruz said before pivoting to video of the Oct. 7 attacks in which he plugged his podcast:
Yesterday morning, I started the day by watching a 46-minute video of the actual atrocities that Hamas committed. And about 50 senators watched it. I, as you guys know, I do a podcast eery week. It’s called The Verdict with Ted Cruz. I do it Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Today’s podcast is all about that vide because yesterday morning at right about this time, I sat in a room and I watched 137 people murdered. And most of the footage was taken from body cams and cellphones that the Hamas terrorists were carrying and they were gleefully murdering civilians.
Cruz has been on a media blitz of late to promote his new book in addition to his podcast.
