Trump Roasts Jasmine Crockett, AOC: Democrats ‘Don’t Have a Bench’ Heading Into 2028 Election

President Donald Trump lampooned Democrats on Tuesday, saying the party, with politicians like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jasmine Crockett, is in rough shape heading into the 2026 midterms and the 2028 presidential election.

“They’re just terrible people. They don’t have a bench,” Trump said during an interview on CNN pundit Scott Jennings’ radio show.

The president mocked AOC, saying the New York representative speaks like “a little mouse” — which is why Democratic leaders are keeping her away from microphones lately, he added.

As for Crockett, the president was baffled by a clip of the Texas Democrat that went viral on X on Monday, in which she made fun of “crazy” Christian conservatives who get caught cheating on their wives.

“How about Crockett?” Trump said to Jennings. “I watched her the other day. That can’t be serious. I mean, it can’t be serious.”

Crockett, for her part, has criticized the president recently as well. Last month, the 44-year-old politician called Trump was a “piece of sh*t.”

Trump also blasted California Rep. Maxine Waters (D), days after she called for the 25th Amendment to be invoked against him. The president said Waters was an “insult to intelligence” and among the abnormally “terrible” leadership steering the Democrats currently.

Other standout moments from Trump’s interview with Jennings include him saying he was “very disappointed” in Russian President Vladimir Putin over his unwillingness to stop the war in Ukraine. He also told Jennings he will be holding an “emergency meeting” on Wednesday after a federal court ruled against his tariffs.

Without his tariffs in place, Trump said, the U.S. “will be weak, pathetic, and not rich.”
