Trump Demands Biden Take a Drug Test Before Debating and Claims the President Was ‘High as a Kite’ During the State of the Union
Donald Trump insisted on Friday night that he will demand President Joe Biden take a drug test before they debate each other next month and in September.
The Trump and Biden campaigns agreed this week to two debates, on June 27 and Sept. 10.
Speaking in St. Paul, Minnesota, the former president alleged that Biden was under the influence of drugs when he delivered the State of the Union address in March. After Biden’s speech, Fox News host Sean Hannity dubbed the president “Jacked-Up Joe,” and said, “He sounded like a hyper-caffeinated, angry, old man.”
Trump told the crowd he will demand that the president of the United States take a drug test as a precondition for the debates.
“I just wanna debate this guy, but you know– and I’m gonna demand a drug test too, by the way,” Trump said as the audience cheered. “I am. No, I really am. I don’t want him coming in like the State of the Union. He was high as a kite.”
Trump then looked up.
“I said, ‘Is that Joe up there?'”
The former president said that by the end of Biden’s speech, the president “was exhausted.”
“We’re gonna demand a drug test,” he reiterated.
The upcoming debates will be a break with tradition in that they will not have live audiences. Moreover, the candidate who is not recognized to speak will have his microphone cut.
The first time Biden and Trump debated was a mess of epic proportions, as then-President Trump repeatedly interrupted Biden and moderator Chris Wallace.
