Former President Donald Trump attacked Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) for crying over her late husband’s funeral in a deranged social media post.

Trump went after Dingell over her criticism of his rhetoric and behavior in a CNN appearance this week. During a discussion of threats against judges who ruled against Trump, Dingell said Trump-inspired threats against elected officials are “getting worse”

She also took aim at the former president’s social media posts over the holidays wishing his political enemies would “rot in hell.”

Dingell told CNN: “And I quite frankly, I’m going to tell you that I think it was one of the most pathetic Christmas greetings I’ve heard when a former president of the United States who wants to return tells people on Christmas Day that they can rot in hell. He is contributing to the divisiveness in division in this country.”

That criticism drew Trump’s ire. In one of many wild posts published Wednesday night, the former president and 2024 candidate called Dingell “a LOSER” who is helping President Joe Biden “DESTROY our Country.”

Trump continued by mocking Dingell for crying over her the funeral for her late husband, the former congressman John Dingell.

Our Country is a NO LONGER RESPECTED MESS, A NATION IN DECLINE, A FAILING, CRIME RIDDEN COUNTRY. When I gave, as President, her long serving husband, the absolute highest U.S. honors for his funeral, a really big deal, she called me, crying almost uncontrollably, to say that she couldn’t believe I was willing to do that for a Democrat. She thanked me profusely. Two months later, she was back on the trail ranting and raving about “TRUMP.” She ought to focus on how badly the Auto Workers of Michigan, and the USA as a whole, are being treated by CHINA, to which Crooked Joe Biden has given this once great industry away!

This isn’t the first time Trump has attacked Dingell over her late husband. At a campaign rally in Michigan, Trump suggested John Dingell was “looking up” at the world from hell. His comment sparked controversy.

At the time, Dingell responded to Trump: “You brought me down in a way you can never imagine and your hurtful words just made my healing much harder.”
