How is former President Donald Trump occupying his time during his hush money and election interference trial? By binge posting old polls and favorable articles on Truth Social.

Trump is the first former president to be under a criminal trial for over 30 felony counts of falsifying business records relating to payments of over six figures to adult film actress Stormy Daniels to keep news of an extra-marital affair out of the public view — this in the weeks before the 2016 election he won over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Trump has long been claiming he is the victim of election interference led by “Crooked Joe Biden” and a Department of Justice which he claims has coordinated with the New York Attorney General Alvin Bragg. Trump called the trial an “assault on America!” as he entered the court for jury selection.

Since the court proceedings started at 9:30 AM, Trump’s Truth Social account has posted nine distinct articles and old polls that give the distinct feeling of a former High School star quarterback reliving his past glories as a way to deflect from the current troubles with the law that has hampered his career.

There’s a Daily Caller article he posted from late January that focuses on a back-and-forth between CNN’s Dana Bash and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem.

There’s a South Carolina poll published in late January as well:

There are also old articles focused on how “Mr. Wonderful” Kevin O’Leary defended Trump or how he was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Now, it’s not clear if these posts were coordinated to be published by Trump’s social media team or if Trump is posting these himself. Almost certainly, its the former, but the latter paints a darker picture of a sad and isolated man who is one candelabra away from a the metaphorical darkened staircase that is his stalled political campaign.
