WATCH LIVE: Dr. Anthony Fauci Hearing Before Congress

White House Coronavirus Task Force member Dr. Anthony Fauci is set to testify before Congress on Friday at 9 a.m. Eastern Time.

Dr. Fauci will appear before the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis — which is chaired by Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) — along with CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield and Assistant Secretary for Health Admiral Brett Giroir.

“The hearing will examine the urgent need for a national comprehensive plan to address the coronavirus pandemic with three key officials leading the response,” the committee explained, adding, “Their appearance follows reports that more than 1,000 Americans died from the coronavirus yesterday, the highest number of daily coronavirus deaths in more than a month, as the number of new cases continues to rise.”

The committee page for the hearing also stated “that strict adherence to the Attending Physician’s Guidelines is required for all participants attending in person.”

“Pursuant to these guidelines, ‘face coverings are REQUIRED’ in the hearing room, and entry will not be permitted without a face covering. In addition, seating arrangements will be ‘in accordance with social distancing guidelines’ and ‘every effort should be made [to] adhere to six-foot social distancing guidelines,'” it detailed.
