Bloomberg on Trump: ‘I’m a New Yorker and I Know a Con When I See One!’
Michael Bloomberg acknowledged in his DNC speech tonight that he disagrees with Democrats and Hillary Clinton on some things, but declared that she is a far better choice for president than Donald Trump.
“Throughout his career,” Bloomberg declared, “Trump has left behind a well-documented record of bankruptcies, thousands of lawsuits, angry shareholders and contractors who feel cheated, and disillusioned customers who feel ripped off. Trump says he wants to run the nation like he’s run his business. God help us.”
He cried, “I’m a New Yorker, and New Yorkers know a con when we see one!”
He mocked and belittled Trump’s business success and even snarked, “The richest thing about Donald Trump is his hypocrisy.”
And Bloomberg basically made the bluntest pitch possible: “Let’s elect a sane, competent person.”
