CNN’s KFILE Uncovers Illinois GOP Candidate’s Crazy, Conspiratorial Views on 9/11 and… Beyoncé
An investigation by CNN’s KFILE team has revealed an Illinois GOP nominee’s bizarre conspiracy theory beliefs, that range from 9/11 trutherism to claims Beyoncé has ties to the Illuminati because of Jay-Z.
Bill Fawell is running against incumbent Rep. Cheri Bustos in Illinois’ 17th District, a district narrowly won by President Donald Trump.
The real estate broker, who has not reported any fundraising efforts, though, has repeatedly pushed conspiracy theories and even published a book promoting his fringe beliefs.
In his 2012 book New American Revolution, Fawell had this to say about how 9/11 was a controlled explosion meant to destroy documents from a clandestine CIA cell located in the towers:
“Go to YouTube and punch in ‘Building #7’ It’s the third building that went down with the twin towers on 9/11,” Fawell wrote. “Nothing hit this building, not a thing, and it fell entirely upon its own. If it looks like a standard commercial implosion demolition, it’s because that is exactly what it is.”
His most bizarre claim, however, may be about pop star Beyoncé, who he believed would use the 2013 Super Bowl to promote Illuminati symbolism because her husband Jay-Z “has a long history of serving up the godless Illuminati.”
Speaking to CNN after they uncovered his writings, Fawell also added that Taylor Swift also had Illuminati ties.
CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski also noted that Fawell seems like a true believer.
“He seems actually very convinced,” of his views, Kaczynski told Brooke Baldwin on Friday. noting he wanted to talk a lot about his fringe conspiracy theories when they spoke.
