Donald Trump Jr. paid a visit to his and his father’s favorite program, Fox & Friends, to discuss, among other things, the notion that his father has created something of a “cult” within the GOP.
Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) was the one to use the term to refer to Trumpism, and it received a great deal of criticism, including from Junior.
“I think that’s ridiculous,” he said, but then added, “You know what? If it’s a cult, it’s because they like what my father’s doing.”
Oh. That’s uh… not disavowing the idea that it might be a bit of a cult.
“You see actual Americans actually winning for a change,” Don Jr. continued, echoing the sentiments – and the exact words – of his father.
“Americans want to see someone who’s actually going to have conviction,” he later added. “They want someone who’s going to be like my father, and fight, and actually want to win.”
