Fox & Friends Blast Governor Glenn Youngkin’s ‘Epic Failure’ in Virginia Election One Day After Going ALL IN On Him

One day after featuring Governor Glenn Youngkin and co-hosting Tuesday’s show from Manassas, Virginia, Fox & Friends piled on following Tuesday’s election results.

“It was a big upset for the governor there,” Lawrence Jones opened the show reviewing Virginia’s election results. “Not only did he lose the house, but they were not able to flip the Senate. Let’s look at the map right here. You’ve got Democrats have 51 to the Republicans 47. And when you go over to the House, we switch. Okay. And then you’ve got 21 Democrats there in the Senate and then 17 Republicans in the Senate there. The big upset was one thing in particular when it comes to abortion. Republicans just weren’t able to rally.”

“What an epic failure by Governor Youngkin,” said Brian Kilmeade. “It’s a huge loss for him,” he added before pouring cold water on any idea that he might be a dark horse candidate for next year’s presidential race and “definitely 28.”

State-level election results are difficult to predict, and the results in Virginia perfectly exemplify that idea. And if there are any takeaways from yesterday’s results, it’s that Youngkin’s not yet ready for a national run, given his inability to convince any moderates or Democrats in Virginia.

The other big takeaway? Fox & Friends either can not rally Republican support like they thought, or their internal polling data that suggested a big Republican and Youngkin win in the Commonwealth of Virginia were way off.

Steve Doocy hosted parts of the show in Manassas and featured Virginia voters blasting Democrats and listing the issues they thought were surefire winners. It was nothing short of a GOP pep rally that featured an interview with Governor Youngkin, which was an earnest effort to move the political needle, alas, a failed one for Fox News.
