Hannity Blasts the Special Counsel: ‘Mueller Doesn’t Care About The Truth’
On Thursday night, Sean Hannity went after Special Counsel Robert Mueller for his handing of the Russia investigation.
He accused the Mueller team of “selectively leaking” to the press, specifically regarding the news story that they have subpoenaed documents from the Trump Organization in order to keep President Trump “off balance.”
“Mueller doesn’t care about the truth or evidence or facts because he’s been on a witch hunt––look at the team he has put together!” Hannity exclaimed. “And the leaks are obviously intentional because it happens every day. And if Mueller really cared about uncovering real crimes, real wrongdoing––Mueller, you’d be investigating them!”
The Fox News host suggested that since Mueller was going to keep “expanding his mandate” that he include the funding of the Trump dossier, the FBI “lying” to a FISA judge, the ‘fixed” email investigation of Hillary Clinton, the unmasking scandal, or Uranium One.
“Well, you have no problem going down every other rabbit hole, Mr. Mueller. Why don’t you look into these scandals?” Hannity asked the special counsel. “This is why we need the second special counsel, someone that is gonna lead from the outside the swamp. You can’t have people involved in these scandals investigating themselves. That means Mueller, that means Comey, they have these friendships going on here, Rod Rosenstein, they’re all BFF, old colleagues. Do you really think they’re gonna hold themselves and each other accountable?”
Hannity then took aim at Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who he claimed “created this special counsel witch hunt” and now he has to “fix it.”
“Do your job and fix the mess you created!” Hannity told Sessions.
