Hannity Rips ‘Humpty Dumpty’ Brian Stelter in Anti-Media Tirade…And Stelter Reacts

Update: This post has been edited since it was published to include analysis of Hannity’s montage

Sean Hannity tore into the “liberal, mainstream, destroy-Trump media” once again on Monday night, and he particularly directed his ire towards CNN senior media correspondent and favorite recurring enemy Brian Stelter.

CNN recently botched a major story about Donald Trump Jr. and Wikileaks, so naturally, Hannity was completely geared up to slam the network and put them on blast for spreading “fake news.” As the Fox host pummeled CNN and network chief Jeff Zucker, he turned his attention to “stenographer Humpty Dumpty Brian Stelter,” who addressed the journalistic failure on his show yesterday.

“Instead of profusely apologizing like he should have, Humpty Dumpty tried to use his network’s complete and utter fake news failure to attack President Trump,” said Hannity. “He is a bitter partisan. It’s even pathetic by fake CNN standards.”

As it were, Stelter was following along with Hannity’s monologue tonight, and judging by the former’s tweets, he’s taking all of this pretty well:

Update: The clip of Paul Callan’s analysis included in the montage that opened Hannity’s  monologue was deceptively edited to materially change the meaning of what Callan said. Read a full analysis here.
