Hatchet Buried: Trump Posts Flurry of EIGHT Pro-Trump Fox News Clips Within 30 Minutes in Truth Social Spree

Former President Donald Trump appears to hold Fox News in much higher standing than he’s claimed recently, evidenced by a flurry of social media posts all featuring remarkably pro-Trump segments that recently aired on the right-of-center cable news network.

It’s not unique for Trump to amplify any media that either defend him from what he paints as partisan attacks — or attacks against his partisan rivals. But given the tortured, some might say abusive relationship the 45th president has with the network most responsible for his political rise to power? It’s notable.

It wasn’t that long ago that Trump was lashing out at Fox News, seething about what he clearly saw as unfair coverage during a Republican primary he eventually won handily. But times have changed and Trump has effectively secured the Republican nomination.

And Fox News aired a Trump Town Hall that nearly felt like it was hosted on bent knee (with underhanded softballs tossed Trump’s way), which — I opined — felt like a surrender of sorts to the once and possibly future GOP King.

So now that Fox appears to be relatively all-in in support of the GOP nominee, Trump has stopped criticizing the right-of-center channel and is instead amplifying clips from his favorite hosts and contributors, which include Sean Hannity, Jesse Watters, Jonathan Turley, Mike Huckabee, Greg Jarrett, and Laura Ingraham.

Screen captures of his posts:

Given Trump’s mercurial tendencies for any media commentary that he finds personally offensive, it’s likely only a matter of time before he returns to attacking a more reasonable or centrist take on the network, like that of his frequent target Steve Doocy.

But until then, it seems clear that Trump is very happy with Fox News, or at least its opinion prime time shows, which, by the way, regularly rate better than all other cable news outlets combined.

This is an opinion piece. The views expressed in this article are those of just the author.
