House of Cards Cast Members Reportedly Pull Out of Upcoming Appearance on Megyn Kelly’s Show

Megyn Kelly has come under intense criticism for her comments defending blackface in the context of Halloween costumes, especially from her own colleagues, and now guests booked on her show have dropped out.

Per Deadline, Netflix confirmed that cast members from the show House of Cards are bailing on a planned appearance:

Stars of Netflix’s signature D.C. drama including Michael Kelly and showrunners Frank Pugliese and Melissa James Gibson had been set to promote the looming premiere of the show’s sixth and final season, but Netflix confirmed today that their summit is off.

Kelly apologized in a note to colleagues, which was followed by her own colleagues critically covering her initial remarks. She apologized on air this morning. And tonight, Mediaite has learned that NBC News chief Andy Lack himself condemned her remarks today. There’s quite a bit of speculation tonight as to what Kelly’s future at NBC will be.
