Joe Scarborough Sucker Punches Fox News ‘Liberal’ Pundit Harold Ford and His ‘Both Sides’ Approach

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Willie Geist spent a moment on Thursday’s Morning Joe mocking Fox News commentator Harold Ford Jr.

It was a brief shot at Ford, the Democratic former congressman who currently serves as a left-leaning voice on Fox’s The Five and used to provide commentary on MSNBC.

But it was unmistakably a shot fired by Scarborough, who was reigned in by co-host Mika Brzezinski, who may have been facetiously taking her own shot at Ford when she referred to him as “the lone liberal co-host.” That got Scarborough to weigh in:

Scarborough: Wait, wait a second… Harold… I don’t know, Willie? If you agree with both sides, you’re not liberal, right? Harold’s, like, he’s just an agreer, right?

Brzezinski: Noooooo.

Geist: I love Harold.

Scarborough: “I agree with your side…”

Brzezinski: He, very smartly, brings in his side by being kind to both sides. Do not mistake that.

Scarborough: I’m not mistaking anything! What do you think about our friend Harold? What is he? He’s an agreer!

Geist: I would just say I agree with everything Harold said, I agree with everything you said, and I agree with everything Mika said right there.

Brzezinski: No, see, what Harold does, he goes, “I respect what you say, I respect what you say, but here’s what I think.”
