Mike Huckabee Blasts Michael Cohen Raid: ‘Nobody Busted Down Cheryl Mills’ Door’

Former Arkansas Governor and 2016 presidential candidate Mike Huckabee weighed in on the recent FBI raids of Trump lawyer Michael Cohen.

Huckabee insisted that such drastic measures were taken not because of  a “campaign contribution” but were an attempt to “intimidate the president.”

“I think most Americans have a good sense of justice,” he told Fox News anchor Shannon Bream. “They want there to be justice applied, even if you’re the president, but they want it to be applied equally and evenhandedly, and they don’t see that happening. Nobody busted down Cheryl Mills’ door. Nobody went into Huma Abedin’s house when Anthony Weiner, her husband, had all kinds of information that he shouldn’t have had on his computer.”

“There are some stark differences,” Bream chimed in.

Huckabee then railed against the media for being “the only people” who hopes he fires Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

“I see no indication that President Trump has an intention to fire Bob Mueller because I think he knows the firestorm that it would create,” Huckabee continued. “But this is the narrative that the media has created to discredit Donald Trump and to be a distraction, quite frankly…. Why else would Congress be contemplating passing legislation that would protect Bob Mueller? I would like to know who’s going to protect this great republic of ours? Who’s going to protect the integrity of the office of the president and the separation of powers? Who’s gonna protect every American from the intrusion of a federal agency coming and busting in your home because they are just on a fishing expedition that has nothing to do with Russia and collusion?”
