MSNBC’s Craig Melvin Asks Ex-Clinton Campaign Manager How Much They ‘Blame Us’ (The Media) for Loss
Yesterday, during the Women in the World summit, Hillary Clinton candidly said there were things she and her team “certainly” could have done better during the campaign.
MSNBC’s Craig Melvin asked former Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook what he thinks they could have done better. Mook said he wishes that they got more resources to states like Wisconsin, explaining they were all surprised by results from some states.
He didn’t speak to what Clinton specifically could have done better, but he did pivot to Russia and argued that “the point of what they did was to prevent candidates from getting their own message now.”
Melvin then asked Mook something he acknowledged he “might get in trouble for asking”: “How much do you blame us?”
He’s referring, of course, to the media, as there has been much frustration in Clintonworld and from Democrats in general about how much the media covered the Clinton and Podesta emails.
Mook did not criticize the press, but he did say in the future they need to provide more context in reporting on illegally-obtained documents.
