Nancy Mace Rages About Crime Rate On Fox, But Slams Biden For Giving a Speech About It
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) accused President Joe Biden of giving a speech about reducing crime on Wednesday of attempting to detract from his son’s deposition before Congress. Mace made the comments during a segment in which she raged about the crime rate in the U.S.
“Just like the border crisis. They want to say it’s not happening. But in blue states and in blue cities, they let rapists and murderers and thieves out without bond, without bail,” Mace declared.
“And it sounds like Joe Biden, just today, just in time for an election year, has decided that defunding the police is a bad idea in an election year. And not only that, but he gave a speech right in the middle of his own son’s testimony and deposition today to distract from our investigation into Joe Biden and his family and all of their corruption,” she added, blasting Biden for addressing the issue she is outraged over.
“You know, I’m just looking at the list of participants in that room and the cities from which they come Philadelphia, Buffalo, Miami, Milwaukee, Chicago. I mean, Congresswoman, I don’t know who he thought his audience was by standing up and touting, he said murders, rapes, aggravated assaults, robberies all dropped sharply without context or timeframe. That’s a brutal message to people when they’re saying pretty loudly that they don’t like the crime that is on the rise in their cities,” followed up anchor Sandra Smith.
“They’re saying it pretty loudly, and they’re seeing it loudly. I mean, we know that your last guest said that D.C., for example, had its most violent year yet inside of 20 years. That is the math,” Mace replied, adding:
Everyone knows when you go to New York or Chicago right now or San Francisco, you go to these major blue cities. It is more violent than it ever has been. And the first thing that Joe Biden should do is stop talking about crime and start working to fix it. And, you know, to do that, number one, shut down the border. He could do that today.
