Not The Onion: RFK Jr. to ‘Participate’ in CNN Debate by Responding to Moderators’ Questions as He Hears Them on TV

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will “participate” in CNN’s presidential debate on Thursday evening by responding to the moderators’ questions as they appear on TV.
Kennedy – who failed to meet the requirements to take part in CNN’s debate with President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump – will appear solo at the “real presidential debate,” where he will stand at his own podium and answer CNN’s questions for Biden and Trump independently.
“Getting ready to moderate tonight’s ALTERNATE presidential debate with @RobertKennedyJr,” announced former Fox Business host John Stossel. “Since CNN excluded Kennedy from their stage, you can watch him, (along with Biden and Trump) answer CNN’s and my questions tonight at 9pm ET streaming on X.”

Kennedy will stand at a podium on a raised platform next to a large television screen, which will show CNN’s official debate at the same time.
“We all know what to expect from Presidents Biden and Trump on CNN’s debate stage tonight,” said Kennedy in a statement on Thursday:
Arguments, name calling, accusations, and culture war issues– but no debate on most of the subjects that matter to Americans. That’s because Trump and Biden aren’t so different when it comes down to it. Both represent corporations, private equity firms, pharma, and the military-industrial complex – the interests of which determine what they can talk about.
The good news is that you can still see the three-man debate. We are hosting an alternative debate where you will hear not only Trump’s and Biden’s answers, but mine as well.
Unlike CNN’s debate, the Kennedy event will seemingly have at least a small audience based on photos which show seating in front of the podium.
The Kennedy campaign warned this month that “every member of CNN who is participating in planning, executing, and holding this debate” was “at risk of prosecution” for excluding him from the event.
“CNN and its staff are on clear notice, especially given the damning evidence that the Biden campaign has openly demanded Kennedy be excluded from the debates and Trump received assurances from CNN that Kennedy would be excluded,” the campaign declared.
