Former US Attorney Preet Bharara appeared on This Week with George Stephanopoulos and was asked, if in his esteem, was there enough evidence to begin an obstruction of justice case against President Donald Trump. Bharara was notably fired along with a slew of other US Attorneys when Trump took over the White House, which raised eyebrows given that Trump had reportedly told Bharara that he would be staying in that role.
Obstruction of justice has become a troubling narrative for the White House in light of former FBI Director James Comey recent testimony — and leaked memo — in which he alleged that — he felt at least — that Trump was directing him to cease the investigation into Michael Flynn.
Worth noting that the call for an investigation is not even close to the suggestion of guilt. The investigation, however, needs to be rooted in a substantial amount of evidence, which Bharara — a bright and sober legal mind — seems to see…along with many others.
