Shockingly, Laura Ingraham Doesn’t See a ‘Government Solution’ to Las Vegas Massacre

Laura Ingraham, who is set to kick off her new gig as a Fox News primetime host this month, appeared on Fox & Friends Tuesday morning to cast her hands in the air with an “oh-well” response to the Las Vegas mass shooting.

“There are some things you just cannot stop,” Ingraham said of the massacre of 59 people carried out by an assailant armed with a reported arsenal of military-grade weaponry.

“We say — well is there a government solution to every human problem? I would say no,” she continued, before apparently blaming America’s decaying moral values for the attack.

“We’ve done a lot to kick Christianity, God to the curb in our society,” she said. “We can talk a lot about climate change and all these wonderful things in school, but we can’t say a simple prayer, even have a moment of silence in a lot of schools today.”

“You have to understand: there is not a government solution to every problem,” Ingraham reiterated.

This would come as news to the Laura Ingraham of yesterday, who from her perch on the Fox & Friends couch has been very comfortable prescribing government solutions to everything from terror attacks — down with multiculturalism! — to anti-fascist protests — declare antifa a terrorist organization!

The conservative radio host then pointed out that gun control could not have stopped the Vegas shooting because attack Stephen Paddock would have passed a background check. She also noted that automatic weapons are illegal, “except for grandfathered machine guns which are very difficult to get.”

WELL HE GOT ONE LAURA, SO WITH ALL DO RESPECT WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT (excuse me).

In all seriousness, what Ingraham curiously omits, of course, is that it is likely Paddock used a semi-automatic weapon that was modified to make it automatic — and that semi-automatic weapons are legal and very accessible in Nevada.
