Steve Doocy Connects Trump to Unsealed Jeffrey Epstein Documents
Steve Doocy went out of his way to include former President Donald Trump in a segment about the list of names included in unsealed court documents surrounding child trafficker Jeffrey Epstein Thursday morning.
Fox & Friends opened its show by discussing the news that broke Wednesday evening after 40 files and over 900 pages of court docs were released for journalists to pore over. Bill Clinton, Alan Dershowitz, and magician David Copperfield seemed to raise the most eyebrows, but Trump has largely avoided headlines despite his name being included a handful of times.
After a brief news report from Brooke Singman, the panel cautiously discussed the news, seemingly aware of the libelous landmines they were tiptoeing around. But Doocy cited a New York Post report about Epstein’s surviving brother, Mark Epstein, who claimed that his brother suggested to him that he had some dirt on both the Clintons and Trump.
“His brother, Mark Epstein, spoke to The New York Post a couple of days ago,” Doocy said before quoting the brother; “Mark Epstein, the brother, said Jeffrey told him once, quote, ‘If I said what I know about both candidates running in 2016, meaning Hillary and Donald Trump, they’d have to cancel the election.’ He did not elaborate what that meant, however.”
He then cited an alleged victim who said Epstein told her that Bill Clinton “likes them young,” and also said she was once flying on Epstein’s plane, and they made an unplanned stop in Atlantic City because Jeffrey said, ‘Great, we’re going to call up Trump.’ And so then they went to visit Trump at the casino.”
Ainsley Earhart said, “But she wasn’t sure which casino it was,” to which Doocy replied, “They didn’t know that. But they did know it was Trump.”
Trump is not accused of any wrongdoing, but did brag about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein for a 2002 profile in New York Magazine.
Epstein likes to tell people that he’s a loner, a man who’s never touched alcohol or drugs, and one whose nightlife is far from energetic. And yet if you talk to Donald Trump, a different Epstein emerges. “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,” Trump booms from a speakerphone. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”
