Trevor Noah Mocks Hannity For Slamming the Michael Cohen Raids: He ‘Wasn’t Just Mad, He Was Scared’
Trevor Noah took a moment Monday night to blast Sean Hannity after it was disclosed that he was the third mysterious client of President Trump‘s scandal-plagued personal lawyer Michael Cohen.
During a court hearing, a judge demanded Cohen to release the name of the unknown client, which sparked a media firestorm. Hannity released a statement afterwards, saying that he sought legal advice from Cohen but insisted he never represented him in any matter and there was never a financial transaction between the two men.
But that didn’t stop The Daily Show host from having some fun at his expense.
Noah said it wasn’t “a good look” for the Fox News host.
“Just think about how unethical this is for a moment,” Noah elaborated. “Hannity has been reporting on this Michael Cohen story from the beginning, from the beginning, but he conveniently never mentioned that Cohen was his guy, which even for Sean Hannity is pretty shady. Even Instagram models will have higher standards… I’m not expecting him to aspire to levels of the Kardashians, but come on, Sean!”
He then showed several clips of Hannity’s monologues slamming the FBI’s recent raids of Cohen’s home and offices.
“Now, we can see that Hannity wasn’t just mad, he was scared,” Noah continued. “You know, now that we know that he was working with Cohen, that looks like less like a news show and more like a guy really stressed giving himself a pep talk.”
