Trump: ‘We Shouldn’t Leave Town’ Until We Act on Health Care

President Trump said today that “we shouldn’t leave town” until health care gets done.

The Senate’s August recess has already been delayed as the GOP majority continues to work on Obamacare repeal, and just yesterday the President said that they should just let Obamacare fail.

Today, as he met with Senate Republicans, Trump said that he’s “ready to act” after 7 years of promises from the GOP that they would repeal the Affordable Care Act.

“My message today is really simple,” he continued. “We shouldn’t leave town and we should hammer this out and get it down.”

The President repeated this line a few more times during his remarks, concluding by saying, “We can repeal, but we should repeal and replace and we shouldn’t leave town until this is complete, until this bill is on my desk, and until we all go over to the Oval Office, I’ll sign it and we can celebrate for the American people.”
