WATCH: Jeff Sessions Asks If There Are ‘Any Russians’ in the Room Before Speech

Days after taking questions about inconsistencies in his statements about past contacts with Russians, Attorney General Jeff Sessions made light of the issue with a few jokes before his Federalist Society speech today.

Before Sessions delivered his speech, he started out with some questions:

“Is Ambassador Kislyak in the room?… Before I get started here. Any Russians? Um, anybody been to Russia? Got a cousin in Russia or something?”

Democrats this week confronted Sessions about those Russian contacts, with one congressman accusing him of lying.
