Watch Trump Ignore Reporters Questioning Him About Roy Moore’s Alleged Sexual Misconduct
Despite promising to address the mounting sexual misconduct allegations against GOP Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore, President Donald Trump has stayed quiet on the matter — even silently staring down reporters today who were shouting questions at him after a photo op.
“Thoughts on Roy Moore, Mr. President — do you believe his accusers?” Shouted one reporter, who only received an arms-crossed glare from the president in response.
While Trump is certainly not known for maintaining silence on spicy political issues, the Moore allegations have completely silenced the president, as he has gone days without publicly discussing the issue, despite his claim that he would issue a statement following his return from Asia five days ago.
The former Alabama Supreme Court chief justice is being accused by at least nine women of some form of sexual misconduct — from harassment to attempted rape. One accuser, Leigh Corfman, claims Moore made physical sexual advances on her when she was only 14 and he was 32.
However, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway did suggest she supported the election of Moore, as she made a Fox News appearance this morning and said “we want the votes in the Senate to get this tax bill through” when asked about the controversial candidate.
While she did not formally endorse Moore post-allegations, Conway did vehemently attack his Democrat opponent Doug Jones. “Doug Jones in Alabama, folks, don’t be fooled. He will be a vote against tax cuts. He is weak on crime. Weak on borders. He is strong on raising your taxes. He is terrible for property owners,” said the White House official.
