Alt-Right Leader Richard Spencer Shows Up at CPAC, Promptly Gets Kicked Out

Controversial alt-right leader Richard Spencer showed up to the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) Thursday, only to be escorted out by security.

Spencer attracted some supporters, who took photos with him and exchanged slogans about Pepe the Frog. But he quickly attracted a circle of reporters and detractors.

Eventually Spencer was kicked out, after being told his ticket would be refunded.

Even in exile, Spencer got the attention he craved.

An ACU spokesman told The Washington Examiner that Spencer was kicked out because his views were “repugnant… [He] would like to believe he’s part of the conservative movement, but nothing could be further from the truth”

Spencer’s unceremonious booting comes after CPAC faced criticism for inviting alt-righter Milo Yiannopoulos. That invitation was only rescinded when video emerged of the former Brietbart editor endorsing pedophilia.
