Forgive Me Father? Bill O’Reilly Meets Pope Francis Amid Reports of His Ousting

Bill O’Reilly, who is still on vacation, was photographed shaking hands with Pope Francis. News of the brief encounter comes on the same day New York Magazine is reporting that the Factor host was out at Fox News.

O’Reilly’s Italian vacation took him to Vatican City and, according to The New York Times, he briefly met Pope Francis at his general audience today.

A photographer for L’Osservatore Romano took a picture of their handshake.

O’Reilly, you may remember, talked just last year about how he would like to meet with His Holiness to discuss immigration with him. He said at the time, “I think I could persuade the Pope that providing protection and enforcing settled law is certainly not un-Christian.”

Presumably they did not discuss immigration today.
