GOP Campaigns Will Reportedly Meet to Discuss Taking Debates Out of RNC Control

GOPThere are reports tonight that many of the Republican presidential campaigns are planning to meet in D.C. on Sunday to discuss what’s being described as a “revolt” against the Republican National Committee.

Reports from Politico and CNN tonight are saying that the meeting started out being discussed among the campaigns of Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Bobby Jindal, and Lindsey Graham, while other campaigns were reached out to later.

There were plenty of complaints from campaigns after last night’s CNBC debate, with one report saying Jeb Bush‘s campaign manager confronted a CNBC producer during the debate, and some of that anger today is being drawn to the RNC. Radio host Mark Levin has called for its head, Reince Priebus, to be fired. Ben Carson was calling for a debate format shakeup earlier today.

And despite Priebus criticizing the debate as much as the candidates were, the reports tonight are saying that absolutely no one from the RNC has been invited to this meeting, because the apparent plan is to take control of the debates away from the Republican National Committee.
