Has Donald Trump Made Nice with Fox News? (UPDATE)
UPDATE- 7:39 pm EST: Mediaite can now confirm Trump will be on Hannity as well, and Roger Ailes has since released a statement confirming his call with Trump.
It seems that the (largely one-sided) war between Donald Trump and Fox News is close to an end.
After last week’s Republican debate, Trump was very angry that he -– a presidential candidate –– received tough questions, so he lashed out at Fox and Megyn Kelly. His latest temper tantrum earned him some scolding from Fox Newsers (and even Rupert Murdoch), but now it appears to have cooled again.
Trump appeared on all the Sunday shows yesterday save for Fox News Sunday and, beyond that, Trump was still saying things like this:
It amazes me that other networks seem to treat me so much better than @FoxNews. I brought them the biggest ratings in history, & I get zip!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 9, 2015
But today, this happened:
Roger Ailes just called. He is a great guy & assures me that “Trump” will be treated fairly on @FoxNews. His word is always good!

Yes, apparently Trump had a talk with Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes.
But more importantly: Trump is set to appear on Fox again. First, CNN reported that Trump would be appearing on Fox News some time (likely not with Kelly); and then Fox & Friends‘ Steve Doocy confirmed an appearance tomorrow morning:
FOX NEWS ALERT: watch @foxandfriends Tuesday at 7am ET as GOP frontrunner @realDonaldTrump talks about his relationship with @FoxNews
— Steve Doocy (@SteveDoocy) August 10, 2015
A Fox News spokesperson told Mediaite that Fox & Friends is Trump’s only confirmed Fox booking thus far.
