Miley Cyrus: Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’ Guns Worse than Exposing My ‘Titties’

miley cyrus taylor swift guns nuditySinger and all-around provocateur Miley Cyrus told Marie Claire that fellow musician and social media target Taylor Swift‘s “Bad Blood” music video is much worse than anything she’s done, on account of its gun-related violence.

When the topic of being a role model to young girls (and whether or not she is one) came up, Cyrus confessed her confusion regarding Swift’s highly popular video, which features a great deal of guns and gun violence.

As The Wrap notes, Cyrus’s main point of contention has to do with whether or not violence is worse than nudity, and vice versa:

“I don’t get the violence revenge thing. That’s supposed to be a good example? And I’m a bad role model because I’m running around with my titties out? I’m not sure how titties are worse than guns.”

Cyrus also takes issue with the larger context of Swift’s song, which features rapper Kendrick Lamar. “[He] sings about LSD and he’s cool,” says the former Disney star. “I do it and I’m a druggie whore.”

While she ultimately doesn’t “care to be” a role model of any sort, the singer questions whether or not her more outlandish behavior — a favorite of most media outlets — amounts to anything as harmful as portraying guns in a positive light.

Swift has yet to comment on Cyrus’s interview, which hits newsstands on August 18.
