‘It’s Really Hot in Here’: Canadian Radio Host Goes Topless in Interview
It’s a rare politician indeed who sits down for an interview and answers questions about going topless in public. It’s a much rarer politician who sits down for such an interview and gets shown an example of said toplessness. Well, that’s exactly what happened to Kelowna, Canada mayor Walter Gray when he sat down with radio host Lori Welbourne, who pressed Gray about the city’s toplessness laws, and to make a show of it, she removed her top right before him, making Gray visibly uncomfortable.
Welbourne asked Gray about where in the city women can legally be topless, and before he could answer, she proceeded to remove her top. The following conversation starts thusly.
GRAY: What are you doing?
WELBOURNE: It’s really hot in here.
GRAY: Really?
But pushing aside the porn dialogue-like banter for a second…
Say what you will about Gray, he very carefully keeps eye contact with his interviewer. And the whole thing feels about as comically awkward as your standard Curb Your Enthusiasm episode.
