Limbaugh: Dems ‘Almost Hoping’ For ‘Armageddon’ So Their Sequester Predictions Don’t Lose Credibility

Rush Limbaugh, during Tuesday’s show, took on the Democratic “fear-mongering” surrounding the automatic spending cuts we’ve come to know as the sequester. They’ve promised disaster and they’re in fact hoping for disaster, he asserted — because they need to maintain credibility.

“If that stuff doesn’t happen, the Democrats are worried that they’re not gonna have any credibility anymore on this,” the radio host said. “The Democrats are actually worried that what they’re predicting will not happen.”

It’s nothing but campaigning and pointing the finger at Republicans. Winning all the political points they can manage. He cited Washington healthcare lobbyist Emily Holubowich, who said, in a Washington Post article, “The worst-case scenario for us is the sequester hits and nothing bad really happens. And Republicans say, ‘See, that wasn’t so bad.'”

“They worry the Tea Party would be right, but the reason they’re worried about that is because they know that what they’ve been saying about these cuts is a lie,” Limbaugh contended. “They’re worried the sequester’s gonna happen and nobody’s gonna notice. They’re worried it’s gonna be like a Y2K.”

They’re “almost hoping” for disaster and that’s simply “absurd,” he argued — not to mention, insults everyone’s intelligence. Moreover, that collapse and “Armageddon” President Obama‘s been talking about will happen, he added, but not because of the cuts. Because of his own policies.
