Lindsey Graham Blames Russian Invasion on Obama Reaction to Benghazi
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) took to Twitter this afternoon to connect the Russian invasion into Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula to the Obama administration’s response to the 2012 terrorist attack on a U.S. consulate in Libya that left four Americans dead.
“It started with Benghazi,” his tweet proclaimed. “When you kill Americans and nobody pays a price, you invite this type of aggression.”
The tweet itself:
It started with Benghazi. When you kill Americans and nobody pays a price, you invite this type of aggression. #Ukraine

The South Carolina lawmaker has been a staunch critic of the administration’s response to that attack. He has repeatedly declared his dissatisfaction with the intelligence information made public by Obama officials. Last fall, Graham threatened to block all Obama nominees until Congress is allowed to hear direct testimony from those on the ground during the siege.
If one is to interpret Graham’s tweet literally, he implies that Putin’s aggressive push into Crimea is the result of a weak Obama response to Benghazi.
A similar suggestion was made earlier in the day:
Putin basically came to the conclusion after
Benghazi, Syria, Egypt – everything Obama has
been engaged in – he's a weak indecisive leader.
