Marco Rubio Trolls Cleveland Cavaliers Fans After RNC Announcement
The whole LeBron James leaving the Cavaliers for the Heat is still a bit of a sore spot for a lot of Cleveland fans four years later. So it had to hurt when Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) simultaneously congratulated that city for getting the 2016 Republican National Convention and teased them about losing their homegrown star to Miami.
Congratulations to Cleveland on being awarded the #GOP2016 convention. But you still aren't getting @KingJames back!

Most of those who were quick to respond were not amused, teasing Rubio right back for his presidential aspirations, which may well hinge on Ohio voters:
@marcorubio @KingJames …no LeBron, no candidacy for you!!!

@marcorubio not a way to get votes out of a swing state buddy.

.@marcorubio @Walldo @KingJames Probably a smart tweet from someone who needs Ohio to win a presidential election.
