Obama on San Bernardino: We Have Pattern of Shootings ‘That Has No Parallel Anywhere Else’

President Obama reacted to the San Bernardino shooting this afternoon in an interview with CBS’ Norah O’Donnell.

It was only yesterday that the president said, “I mean, I say this every time we’ve got one of these mass shootings; this just doesn’t happen in other countries.”

And in reaction to the shooting today, he again said, “We have a pattern now of mass shootings in this country that has no parallel anywhere else in the world, and there’s step we can take not to eliminate every one of these mass shootings, but to improve the odds they don’t happen as frequently.”

He brought up how people on the no-fly list can get guns, and said that America needs to ‘come together in a bipartisan basis” to “make these rare as opposed to normal.
