Obama Surprises School; Student Tells Him She ‘Really Wanted It to Be Beyoncé’
Pro: Have the president and the first lady appear at your school. Con: They are not Beyoncé.
As part of the National Day of Service on Thursday, President Barack Obama and Michelle surprised students at a public school in Washington, D.C., where they would be putting together packages for homeless children.
One of the students, a sixth-grader named Madison, told Barack she anticipated a different guest.
“I really wanted it to be Beyoncé,” she said.
“I understand,” Barack answered. “Malia and Sasha would feel the same way.”
Madison, entering damage control, then said it was “even better” to have Barack and his wife there.
“Well, I appreciate you saying that in front of the press,” Barack said. “Even though it’s not really true.”
The first lady chimed in: “I’d rather see Beyoncé.”
Yoncé all on their mouths like liquor.
