Rep. Weiner Tells NY Post Reporter That He Still Has No Plans Of Resigning

video

An intrepid NY Post reporter recently caught up with embattled congressional member Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) and asked if he was still planning on remaining in office after numerous calls for his resignation have recently emerged. A still-contrite but steady Weiner reaffirmed his intentions to stay in office until the end of his term. When asked about recent reports of his wife’s pregnancy, Weiner declined to offer any comment.

Writing for the NY Post Kevin Fasick and Clemente Lisi report:

Weiner also said he planned to get back to work after spending Wednesday holed up in his Forest Hills home.

“I’m going to get back to work as best I can,” he said.

“I betrayed a lot of people and I know it and I’m trying to get back to work now and try to make amends to my constituents, and of course to my family of course,” he added. “I’m going to go back to my community office and try to get some work done.”

Weiner reiterated what he told the media earlier this week.

“As I said when I spoke at the press conference on Monday that I exchanged inappropriate things with people and, I think that I’ve now got to deal with those consequences,” he added.

“I was completely honest on Monday after I hadn’t been for a while,” Weiner said outside his lawyer’s office in Midtown.

The SLIME & LIES of Weiner, or the Integrity of the American People?

This will show America what today’s Democratic Party represents — They must force this man out-of-office for his flippant misogony and exploitation of women as SEX OBJECTS!

So where does the Democratic Party stand?

Does Weiner stay, or like the GOP, do they force their wayward lamb out?

The internet would like to make a long distance dedication to @RepWeiner.

  • TeaPartyNation

The Weiner doesn’t have the integrity to resign — no surprise there since he’s a solid lunatic-left d-cRAT socialist.

The Weiner has become the poster-boy for the moral, ethical, social and political depravity of the lunatic-left d-cRAT socialists.

The Weiner is the face of what passes for “family values” amongst d-cRAT socialists, and he is the epitome of the d-cRAT socialists’ culture of erection and corruption. (Thanks, Rush)

We’ll all keep The Weiner and his disgusting, revolting and despicable actions in mind during the Nov 2012 vote to further TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY.

It just goes to show what hypocrites and liars conservatives really are. They support someone like newt gingrich who has an affair while his wife is dying and then bash weiner for sexting. The House was investigating perjury and impeached Clinton for it. The perjury came to light due to Clinton’s testimony in a civil suit, and a special prosecutor appointed by a panel of judges. That was not a House investigation. Nice try, though.

No. Vitter provides a window into the republican’s true motive when they demand that Weiner resign but not Vitter, Sanford or Ensign. You are pegged as partisan by that fact. No way weiner should give in.

  • WillP

Weiner will become the gift that keeps on giving to Republicans just like Foley kept screwing Republicans leading up to the bloodbath for the GOP in 2006. I saw where Bloomberg is quoted as saying that Weiner doesn’t have any friends. He is not going to make any new ones now either in the Democratic Party. It looks like there will be a real nasty ethics trial over the next year. Very selfish of him to put his own interests ahead of the president and party.

People are less puritan in this country than you think. Weiner got his jollies by phone sex and sending photos of his chest and groin (apparently he was proud of both) to willing third parties as part of a sexual fantasy game, ending in he wacking off. Porn is the most popular business on the interent because, apparently, lots of people like to go Masonic when it comes to sex.

Newt Gingrich met his first wife, Jackie Battley, while he was still in high school. Battley was his geometry teacher, and seven years his senior. (According to Gingrich’s second wife Marianne Ginther, the age difference was actually nine years–Gingrich was 16 when the student-teacher courtship began). Their secret relationship included nighttime dalliances in the back of a car. The pair married in 1962, and had two children before splitting in February 1980. According to Esquire, Gingrich served Battley with divorce papers while she was in the hospital recovering from uterine cancer.

Well, the NY Post and the Daily News want him to hold on as long as possible. As do republican strategists. Imagine the ads already. Pelosi speaking about ‘cleaning up the swamp’, picture of tax-evading Ways and Means Rangel, the iconic chest Weiner pic. Gold mine.

His wife’s pregnancy will have no impact on the New york press. If it sells, they’ll print it.

He’s eventually gone because of the cover-up, not the actual actions. They never learn it’s always the cover-up….

I mean how long do you think the public will care about this? Weiner is a single congressman from among hundreds.

You are clearly partisan. Must be, otherwise you would have demanded that Vitter, Sanford and Ensign, who did worse stuff than Weiner, resign

Weiner, I know you plan on resigning on Friday at the end of business, but I encourage you to reconsider. You are doing great things in Congress right now…for the other side of the aisle…LOL Keep up the great work you little shit!

Ensign did resign before the matter got any bigger.

Weiner is under more pressure from his own party to resign. The only thing that will keep it in the headlines is more infor that has not yet been published.

I was ditto head in those days and really wanted him to resign. He should never have been elected in the first place, and lying is the only way he got that.

Elected officials are and should be held to a higher standard of ethics.

OK. But weiner did not violate any ethical laws if all he did was send pictures of his stuff to other consenting adults. Lying (but not under oath)? Yes, that is a violation of ethical rules and should warrant a censure but not expulsion.

People keep saying this hurts Democrats.. but besides people sayin “this will hurt democrats” how exactly does it hurt democrats if they were going to redistrict Weiner next year anyway?

I’m more interested in seeing if this hurts Andrew Breitbart or not, the catalyst to all this nonsense, who takes to the stage like a buffoon at someone elses press conference to tell people “I’m a real journalist”, then goes on Opie and Anthony and shows them a penis on his cellphone (Just like anderson cooper would do).

I’m interested in understanding the thought process behind that, or at least, how someone would explain that rationally to people. It makes me think of a teenage girl, giddy to show the popular people what she has, so then she can be popular.

I want The Weiner to hang in there and not pull out…I hope this never wilts away…I hope all the Democrats get behind him and stick up for him…..I want the American people to be reminded daily about what he did and that the Democrats don’t see anything wrong with it.

So I guess we agree on this one….kinda!!

Seriously though, we both know it’s just a matter of time before he is forced to resign. He is toxic to the party and the party is greater than him.

yup, it’s all Breitbart fault….even though it was Weiner who took the pictures of himself and sent them to girls he did not know…Weiner better hope like hell that a minor doesn’t come forward!!!

No one is saying it is all Britebart the moonie’s fault, only the part where the previously “semi-private” photo, was put on the web for millions to see. And if it is a major sin to send naked photos to people you meet on-line, imagine sending naked photos to millions. Isn’t that what Britebart and his shock jock friends did? And they had a laught doing it. I am seriously wondering if Britebart is a pervert.

Weiner is an elected official….you seem to be forgetting that little tid bit fact.

NONE, ZERO, ZIP…..of this is Breitbarts fault….or the women involved for that matter…..It is 100% the fault of The Weiner!!

Elected officials do not give up their private lives and enjoy the right to engage in legal sexual activity like everyone esle.

Britebart got the photo and brought it over to his shock jock friends for viewing (and a few jokes). That itself is wierd. Then he permitted the previously unpublished photo of the congressman’s penis to be posted to the web for public viewing. I call that wierd too. You all claim it is bad for a photo of a penis to be sent to a couple people, but have no problem with the photo being gawked about by Britebart and his pals and put on the web for millions to see. Why?

hey val, did Anthony ask you to come on here and defend, defend, defend. It’s getting old hon. You think it’s weird that the guys were gawking but you didn’’t think it’s weird to be taking a picture of your nether region and sending it into the unknown abyss called the internet. That’s weird…

Lol, thats just Classic Progressive Fail. You have no idea what you are talking about, but refuse to do any research for yourself to determine if the crap you have been spoon fed by the MSM and other dem tools is accurate, you just dutifully regurgitate the filth.

The Wife in question is one Ms. Jackie Battley. They met and began an affair when he was 16 in High School…Oh, and she was his math teacher.

‘ From author Gail Sheehy: “One of his (Newt’s) first independent acts was to escape the totalitarian regime of his stepfather’s home. He chose a path that women have used for generations: he made a jailbreak marriage, attaching himself at the tender age of 19 to his high-school geometry teacher, Jackie Battley — a buxom blond seven years his senior.” ‘

They had two daughters together, and yes she is alive and doing fine by all accounts.

I said previously, I do not even care who or what my congressman fu*ks, I only care how he votes. Ben Franklin got so many french bjs, from a bevy of attractive french socialites, that he did not know how many it was each night until he counted the rings.
